Cameron McKinney

Cameron McKinney, the Artistic Director of Kizuna Dance, creates work centered around the Japanese language and culture. He currently performs with Dante Brown|Warehouse Dance and Christal Brown/INSPIRIT. His work has been presented by the Let's Dance International Frontiers Festival (UK), Performatica (Mexico), Gibney Dance, The Moving Beauty Series, Dixon Place, and Triskelion Arts, among others. He has been commissioned twice by the LDIF Festival, by the Steffi Nossen School of Dance, The Moving Beauty Series, and SpectorDance Studio. In 2015, he was chosen for Doug Varone's DEVICES Intensive.

He created Loft Technique, a unique blend of streetdance styles and contemporary floorwork. He teaches regularly at Gibney Dance. He has taught in five states, as well as internationally in Japan, Mexico, and the UK. He has been on faculty at the Joffrey Ballet School, the Contemporary Dance Experience Intensive, WMAAC, and The Southern Vermont Dance Festival, among others.
